Sejong Hotel Seoul Myeongdong

Clean place with approachable and wonderful staff and exceptionally good view of the park.

The hotel is conveniently located as it is near subway and shopping areas. The airport bus (6055) also stops outside the hotel.

Just one bus from and to the airport, when you get in Incheon with 9 jet lag hours a simple way to get to the hotel is a huge plus.

The place was CONVENIENT and clean. Brilliant food for dinner and breakfast. Unbeatable position in the great area, right by the Myeongdong shopping area, and the subway station with lots if shopping center and restaurants. Awesome stay, as always.

The room is spacious. On the exterior, it looks like a 5 star hotel. The location is good for airport bus and subway. It is good especially if you have many pieces of luggage and the limousine bus service is regular and in front of the hotel.

The central air-conditioning of the room cannot be adjusted. It is heater all day. We would prefer it to be adjustable and at least an air-conditioner option. We find it too stuffy even when the windows are opened all day. Due to the design of the windows, air couldn't flow in easily as the windows are flipped on the top. It is no doubt spring time and certain days were quite sunny and the heater was on. The toiletries (eg shower gel, shampoo and shower cap) were not replenished daily. A small bottle of shower gel for 2 persons to share and we showered at least 2 times a day. The comforters were not clean, it had some sort of blood stains on it. The TV reception was not good, the TV programmes were mostly HD, but it wasn't of that quality. The deluxe twin room located at 4th floor (we were given room 412) looks grand at the lift lobby with a private entrance. But the bathroom door couldn't be closed, the vanity top light wasn't working when we checked in, we have to call housekeeping. The bedside table light was not working either. Shouldn't all these essentials be checked before the guests arrive? And worst of all, the toilet bowl choked after day 1 and we had to call the maid for service. We also couldn't understand why a 5 star hotel could not provide free Wifi service in the room. Free service is only available in the hotel lobby. We paid 220 000 won per night for the deluxe twin. Breakfast is not included either. With this price, it falls short of our expectations. I will not stay in this hotel anymore given a choice.

Maybe because of the tourism season, the price was much higher than I stayed before. It was too much higher. If they have the same policy, I will never stay there again.

Location is perfect, near shopping areas and all sightseing are at a walking distance. Metro is at 10 meters as well as bus stop for airport. Room is comfortable, good bed. Nice view on Seoul Tower hill.

The price for breakfast ( 27000 WON ).

Everything is clean and tidy. The staff is very nice and courteous. I really like the idea of having a rental mobile phone available in every room. The hotel is nicely located next to Myeong Dong metro station and Myeong Dong shopping area.

There is nothing I dislike on Sejong Hotel.

The location was unbeatable to the airport bus stop and the staff here was helpful.

Good location

Checking out time is too earlier. Too noisy outside window.

The initial room had torn wallpaper and mold. After reporting the issue, we were moved to a better room, but the ongoing protests outside were distracting. Service was inconsistent, as staff seemed unhelpful at times, especially during check-out when I needed help with my luggage.

I have stayed several times previously and always find the staff freindly and the facilities excellant

The room was good and incredible on level 4 and they provided wake-up service when I asked. The hotel had a very central location and it was minutes away from Postal Museum of Korea. The venue was set in a great area. A cable car station was walking distance to the venue. The service was polite, including a quick check-in.

The location is perfect for exploring the vibrant shopping and food scene nearby. I loved the spacious Beautiful Twin Room with an excellent view of Namsan Tower. The staff was friendly and efficient, always ready to assist. While the room was generally clean, there were signs of wear and tear, which could be improved.
